Teacher Training

Teacher Training

It has been decided that 2024-25 will be a year of zero-growth, due to the shortage of English teachers.  Therefore, only teachers from schools that have already opened the Diplomacy major will be accepted to the courses in 2023.  In 2024-25, we hope to offer courses for the primary subject of International Communication (Communication Skills Alef and Communication Skills Bet), as well as the course for the extension subject of Conflict Management  & Resolution.  We hope to be able to open the course in Translation Skills in the future, as well. However, if you have received formal training in translation from a college or university, you can participate in a 2-3 hour workshop focused on the adaptation of the topic to the Diplomacy curriculum.  If you are interested in taking any of these courses or the translation workshop in 2024-5, please fill out the correct application.

Registration for Teacher Training

Please carefully read the document below, which describes the teacher training process and has links for teachers to register for the courses.  Teachers must apply for the courses in Diplomacy training, a process which includes filling out the application, submitting a recommendation from the school principal and a commitment to opening the major, and submission of an up-to-date CV in English.  Furthermore, new schools must be approved to open the major by their Regional English Inspector.
