Kratos, the God of War, looms over Planet Waargh, his latest creation - a molten crucible of chaos where multiverses collide. Orc elites, their war-scarred tusks gleaming, sponsor elite Battle Runner teams, luring warriors from distant realms: cybernetic Gundams, feral Pokémon, cunning One Piece pirates, and Yu-Gi-Oh summoners wielding ancient magics.
All vie for glory in the apocalyptic War Race, a death-defying sprint through raging wars to the Final Arena, where the Big Battle Bus Boss awaits in a destruction derby, straight out of legend.
You, Racer 4, arrive at the Mega Terminal, stepping through a shimmering portal conjured by Orc Shamans’ blood-soaked rituals. Chaos engulfs you: the Going Merry, a pirate ship from the One Piece universe, sails through a cloud-rift, Luffy’s battle cries echoing; a Gundam Mothership tears the sky, its cannons blazing; Pikachu and Blue-Eyes White Dragon clash in bursts of yellow and blue lightning and flame. At the terminal’s core, the Infinity Waargh rages—Orc champions like Throgar Skullcrusher dominate, their axes cleaving through hapless spectators dragged into the fray.
Your vehicle hums, ready for battle. Fame and fortune await—first, to the Garage. See the bottom of this page for instruction on how to play.
Welcome to War Race: Crossroads of Chaos, a pulse-pounding choose-your-own-adventure racing saga on the brutal Planet Waargh. You’ll need:
A deck of 4 cards (TCG cards or playing cards, all with different values), used for Random Chance (RC) checks.
A deck of 12 different TCG cards, with a common value like Health, Attack etc This value becomes the Driving Skill (DS).
You can use different TCG series but you may have to adjust the DS value by adding or removing zeros. E.g. Pokemon may have 120 HP as the value, by YuGiOh has 1200. So remove a 0 from YuGiOh cards, or add a zero to the Pokemon ones, your choice.
The Card Type depends on the picture, there are three types: Robot, Humanoid, or Monster/Beast/Animal (M/B/A).
Open the Google Sheet above on it's own tab, this will track all of the different statistics during the game.
Choose all vehicles (See Google Sheet) via RC check, starting from Racer 1, and finishing with the Player:
Set the Vehicle Type on the "SETUP" tab of the spreadsheet.
Using the example cards 1, 2, 3, and 4 for drawn RC card. You get the following vehicle for each result:
1 = Bike.
2 = Off-road Buggy.
3 = Rally Car.
4 = Hummer.
Example if using the Web App:
LOW (4) [1, 3]
1 = the low result card. And would have resulted in a Bike.
Choose driver cards (up to vehicle max), using TCG cards. Shuffle all the cards face down, then draw them into 4 piles.
Re-draw any M/B/A cards that land on a Bike, as that Type can't ride them.
The Hummer has x3 drivers, all other vehicles only have two.
Enter each drivers card type and Driving Skill on the "SETUP" tab of the spreadsheet.
You can Swap drivers between stages (in the Garage), and adjusts bonuses (e.g., Robot to Humanoid: -1 HP, +1 SP).
Vehicles get +1 point to upgrade either SP, DM, or HP when in the Garage before a race stage starts.
NPC's Auto upgrade based on a set table.
If the stat to upgrade is already maxed out (10), the point is added to the next highest skill.
During the Garage pages rotate to the next driver for each vehicle (the driver changes each stage).
Battles (non-final): Last only a single round. Fighters can choose one action only, either:
Ram - ATK Driving Skill (DS) vs DEF Driving Skill (DS) + Speed (SP) modifiers, or
Ranged - RC High to hit (RC Low nothing happens), deals DMG + vehicle ranged bonus DMG.
Final Battle: Multi-round until win or loss.
Team Unlocks: After winning, choose a garage recruit for future replays:
Mechanic (+1 SP per garage).
Soldier (+1 DMG per garage).
Engineer (+1 HP per garage).
Mechanics for RC Check:
Shuffle 4 cards face down, all with different values.
Draw any (Card A).
then top (Card B).
B > A = RC High (success).
B < A = RC Low (fail).
