HAVE LOTS OF DICE...

Dice Rolling Freaks is an Adventure Game that works well with a LOT of dice.
Standard 6-sided dice with pips (not actual numbers)

For any number of players! (including solo!)

(if you are playing the basic game, dice colour won't matter...mix and match what you have!)
Of course, the game might inspire you and your friends to acquire more dice.
And more dice.

Throughout the game, players' characters will work together (hopefuly!) to explore and survive an Interdimensional Dungeon, filled with bizarre monsters, lethal traps and unreal artifacts.

The general goal of the game is survival!!!

STARTING ADVICE:
To 'get the hang of the game', try with 2 - 3 Players and 30 - 40 dice.

Need dice?
Buying dice in quantity is simple if you search Ebay. (search for 'Dice Lot' or 'six sided dice').
Otherwise, I have some sets in 30-dice lots I can provide if you inquire here

STEP 1: MAKING CHARACTERS

Each player starts with three dice, and rolls them to determine their starting equipment/abilities. These Character Dice are left in front of each player. I recommend keeping them in row.
(list of Character Dice here)

The rest of the dice are all set aside and will be be used as
Tunnel Dice to form the Dungeon

STEP 2: EXPLORING THE DUNGEON

what a dungeon might look like after a lot of Exploration

Players take turns creating (Exploring) the Dungeon, by placing/rolling Tunnel Dice.

(alternatively, one Player could be responsible for the Exploring if the other Players have other roles)

To start a Dungeon Level, one die is rolled. (see Tunnel Dice types here)
Games are assumed to begin with the Dungeon being at Level One.

To Explore, a decision must be made by the Group, in which direction to proceed (based on available options) and then a new Tunnel Die rolled and placed in the new destination.

More about Exploring the Dungeon here

TRACKING ROLES

There are 3 main details to 'track' throughout the game, and it can be a good idea to have different players responsible for tracking each thing.

DANGER!

This is the most important, as the Danger number changes constantly.

WANDERING MONSTERS

A list should be kept of the Monsters (each Monster has a specific number) that become Wandering Monsters.

DIMENSION POWER

This is the group's (and/or individual Players') score in the game.

Some Other Items that can be Tracked:
- DUNGEON LEVEL (though that should be simple to remember and won't need a Tracker)
- MONSTER HP (Hit Points) During a Battle, it can help to have someone tracking the Monster's changing HP
