Applying to IB
Application Window: Friday, January 5th - Friday, February 9th!
Late applications will not be considered until ALL completed applications have been considered and spots are selected. If seats remain, late applicants may be offered a seat.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
How to apply
Applying to IB at Druid Hills High School is a 2-step process. Both steps MUST be completed to be eligible for a seat at Druid Hills High School!
Step 1 - Complete the DCSD School Choice Application. NOTE: All students must complete this application, even if Druid Hills High School is your home school.

Step 2a - Read through the International Baccalaureate HS Programs Application Guide Checklist (Grades 9 - 12). Be sure to pay attention to:
Questions you must answer in the video application
The IB learner profile characteristics
The rubric for how the application will be scored
The instructions for how to create the video and how to set the privacy settings on your video

Step 2b - Complete the items you must upload in the application. This includes:
Video Interview (Follow the instructions in the Application Guide Checklist. Be sure to use the questions and the rubric in Application Guide Checklist to provide the strongest representation of yourself as a student).
Send emails to the teachers you are asking for a teacher recommendation. A sample email script and the recommendation link can be found in the "International Baccalaureate Teacher Recommendation Form (Grades 9 - 12)

Step 2c - Complete the International Baccalaureate High School Application. Make sure to have everything completed prior to this step. You will need to provide:
Confirmation number for your DCSD School Choice online application
Copy of your transcripts
Link to your private YouTube (video interview)
Names of the teachers you have asked for recommendation letters
