Aerial Workshop

Workshop DescriptionExplore the excitement of dancing suspended on long loops of aerial fabric. This workshop will focus on some basic aerial technique and poses as well as develop improvisation skills in moving with aerial cradles. No previous experience required.

The Guest Instructor - Kira Schaffer Kira Schaffer is the artistic Director of Firebelly Performance Society, a performance troupe specializing in theatre and dance involving aerials, fire dance and stilt walking. Kira is excited by creating work in unconventional settings and is interested in exploring the expressive possibilities within physically limited situations. Kira shares her passion for movement and hanging upside down by regularly teaching aerial dance classes at the Roundhouse.
