SNOW DANCE MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE
Snow Dance Mountain Adventure for 3 - 8 years DECEMBER 12TH
4:00 to 4:45pm
**OF COURSE THESE COURSES ARE OPEN TO ANY AGE IF THEY WANT TO TRY IT**

Just a heads up that this is what this class will look like:
MY ONLINE DANCE CLASSES USE
film, music and sets to make the adventure come alive in the imaginations of your children.
For this lesson, I will send you a sound file to make sure that the sound is of an excellent quality.
Also, did you know that you can record your session with your child and she can do the lesson over and over again?
Props needed will be:
a magic wand
with snow flakes attached.
A large black towel.
A sword (optional-you can use your magic wand instead).

To make the wand, Simply attach the snowflakes to a stick, ruler, or small curtain rod.
For best results use stiff paper or several pieces of paper together.
The focus of the Snow Mountain Adventure lesson will be of course a journey. It will be a magical journey through the air to discover a band of pirates. We will float/sail our way to the Himalayas where we see some of the 'Mountain Snow Creatures' that live there and a mysterious Big Foot like creature.
We will skip, leap and dance with a band of pirates to discover magical warrior queens and her companions: snow tigers, wolves, snow leopards, fairies, snow elves, snow Dragons and Yetis.
We will also meet creatures of the snow mountains as well as royalty and visit their castle.
The dance styles will be a sample of Ballet, Jazz and Creative dance and Hip Hop.
The spatial movement learning outcomes will be directions, levels and facings.
Movement skills explored will be balancing (on and off balance), waltzing, turns, balances (ballet) shapes, moving shapes, jumps and gliding.
Through associative imagination the movement learning outcomes will be the qualities strong slow, strong fast, light fast, light slow.
The natural science learning outcomes are footprints and sounds of the above animals, as long as some of their behaviours and folktales about them.
