film, music and sets to make the adventure come alive in the imaginations of your children.

For this lesson, I will send you a sound file to make sure that the sound is of an excellent quality.

Also, did you know that you can record your session with your child and she can do the lesson over and over again?

Props recommended to enhance your child's experience will be 2 white handkerchiefs, a magic wand or two, one large white square and some snowflake cutouts that you can make with your child. Goto link below:

  • The focus of the Dance Adventure lesson will be of course a journey. It will be a magical journey through the air to discover a Pirate Ship where we meet a King and Queen. We eventually land on a mysterious island.

    • We will skip, skate and dance with snow fairies and angels, see horses, magical warrior queens and her companions: penguins , polar bears and foxes.

  • We will also meet creatures of the snow wood and have tea with them in their homes as well as Royalty and visit their castle.

    • The dance focus will be Ballet and Jazz and Creative dance.

    • The spatial movement learning outcomes will be pathways and levels.

  • Through associative imagination the movement learning outcomes will be the qualities of light fast and slow and sharp.

    • The natural science learning outcomes are footprints and sounds of the above animals, as long as some of their behaviours and mythologies.

    • The musical learning outcomes are an introduction to triplets; music that works in threes.

    • The music and movement learning outcomes will be what movement works best in triplets.
