TEACHER'S LEARNING
TEACHER'S LEARNING
I am Ms. Ruby Taneja, Principal of Aravali International School, Greater Faridabad, and it gives me immense pride to share that this marks our fourth year of participation in CyberFair. With teams thoughtfully formed and themes unveiled, the excitement among our students and mentors has been truly inspiring. To channel this enthusiasm, I convened a meeting with my selected team, where we exchanged ideas and gathered valuable inputs. Initiatives like these not only nurture creativity and collaboration but also instill a deeper sense of responsibility towards our environment—an ethos we are committed to strengthening each year.
My name is Priya Bhardwaj. I am working as a middle wing coordinator in Aravali International School, Greater Faridabad. Working as a coordinator in the editorial team of the CyberFair project has been a deeply enriching learning experience. Throughout the project, several meetings were conducted to plan the workflow, distribute responsibilities, and ensure that every team member clearly understood their role. As a coordinator, I guided my team of students by assigning tasks and supporting them in organizing and presenting their work effectively. To help them carry out their responsibilities well, I also undertook research so that I could provide them with proper direction and clarity. This process strengthened my skills in planning, collaboration, and mentoring students. It also required patience, constant communication, and thoughtful guidance to keep the team focused and motivated. Most importantly, the research and discussions during the project helped me look at our environment from a completely different perspective. I began to understand the importance of observing local issues closely and encouraging students to think critically about their surroundings. Overall, the experience has been both meaningful and intellectually rewarding.
Participating in the CyberFair International Competition with my school team was a meaningful learning experience for me as an ICT educator. While working on the technical aspects of website creation, I gained valuable insights into collaborative and project-based learning. Guiding students in developing a website allowed them to apply practical skills such as web design, content organization, and digital presentation, making learning more engaging and purposeful.
This experience also helped me strengthen my own understanding of website development, including structuring pages, managing multimedia content, and ensuring user-friendly design. Working closely with students highlighted the importance of mentorship, patience, and teamwork in technology-based projects.
Participating in an international platform exposed us to global standards of digital work and encouraged both students and me to think creatively and critically. Overall, the experience motivated me to integrate more real-world ICT projects into my teaching, helping students develop technical skills, confidence, and a deeper interest in digital creation.
From studying solid waste and land pollution in Faridabad, I learned that our city generates hundreds of tonnes of waste every day, putting great pressure on landfill sites like Bandhwari (shared with Gurugram). I understood that when waste is not properly segregated, it releases harmful methane gas and pollutes soil and groundwater. Plastic waste stays in the environment for hundreds of years, causing long-term damage.
This topic made me realize that proper waste segregation, composting, and recycling can greatly reduce landfill waste. Even reducing just 1 kg of waste per week can create a big impact over a year. I learned that environmental protection begins with small, responsible habits at home and that every citizen plays an important role in keeping the city clean and sustainable.
While working with other students on this sensitive topic, I also developed important skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, research skills, critical thinking, empathy, and problem-solving. Discussing real environmental issues helped me become more confident, responsible, and aware of how to present facts carefully and respectfully.

My name is Tanvi Bhargav, and I am working as a French Educator at Aravali International School. I recently had the privilege of participating in the Cyber Fair, which was a highly enriching and insightful experience.
Our project focused on Plastic Waste Management – Smart and Clean City. Through this research, students explored the challenges of plastic waste and the importance of adopting responsible waste management practices to create cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable cities.
Overall, Cyber Fair was a meaningful experience that encouraged learning, creativity, and awareness among students.
Guiding students through this project was a rewarding experience. I realized that when students step outside the classroom and explore real community issues, their curiosity and sense of responsibility increase greatly.
I learned that project-based learning not only builds research and teamwork skills but also helps students become more aware citizens. Seeing students connect their findings with initiatives like the Swachh Bharat Mission showed how education can inspire real change in attitudes toward cleanliness and sustainability.
This project reminded me that learning becomes most powerful when students investigate real problems and feel motivated to be part of the solution.

By preparing content on the degradation of the Aravalli Hills for the Cyber Fair, I learned how human activities such as mining and deforestation harm the environment. This experience helped me integrate environmental awareness with digital learning and guide students to think critically. I learned that the Aravalis play an important role in maintaining ecological balance, preventing desertification, and supporting wildlife. It also strengthened my understanding of my role in nurturing responsible and environmentally conscious citizens.

The Cyber Fair Dhartiri – Rooted in the Earth, Rising with Values was a meaningful learning experience for both students and teachers. As a Sanskrit guiding students to research ways to keep our Earth clean, green, and pollution-free was truly enriching. Students thoughtfully explored information and shared their learning through creative presentations and podcasts, making the message impactful and relatable. The project successfully blended ancient values with modern environmental awareness, leaving students more responsible, aware, and connected to the Earth.
