The ancient footwear, Khadau or Paduka, is the one of the oldest footwear ever known to humans; its existence is primarily dated to the ancient Hindu mythological times, where it was the highly preferred footwear for scholarly people, like sages, scholars and even the Kings.

In the ancient times, these Khadaus were made of wood, silver, and gold as a mean to provide a requisite cushion to the feet and also regulate the benefits of its properties into the body. These provides a stern cushion to the curve on our feet and balances our body posture and keeps our spine erect.The practice of wearing Khadau or Paduka is almost obsolete and is seldom seen.
