Museums have always been regarded as the interpreters and caretakers of history and culture. Immersing oneself in historical artifacts and knowledge can create impressions that last a lifetime. Witnessing displays of historical artifacts allows patrons to experience history in ways that static exhibits alone can’t convey.

Dharohar, the Heritage Museum of Govt. College for Women Parade Ground Jammu, is a treasure trove of historical and cultural remnants of our rich past. It is an effort to collect the tangible heritage of the region and holds an extensive collection of Basohli and other miniature paintings, musical instruments, traditional costumes, shawls, copperware, coins, handicrafts etc.
