Kayak Racing is a fun physics-based racing game where you can race your friends to see who's the fastest to complete the tracks. But wait, there's a catch, you can only press one button to move! Which means you need to control your taps to be able to control your kayak efficiently.
Kayak Racing is one of the projects done during my first year of studies at Isart Digital Paris. It's a one button racing game where two players will compete to see who can complete the tracks the fastest while having to control some kayaks ruled by whacky physics. I personally wanted to make some kind of chaotic game where skill is necessary in order to thrive and win. Production was fully solo, where the game concept came from myself, assets where done through cartoon style research, and fully programmed the gameplay with my current knowledge at the time. All of this in the span of a week.
