1 John 4:8
God is Love
8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Deuteronomy 4:29
Seek God With Your Heart
29 But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10
God Reveals Things by His Holy Spirit
9 However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him-- 10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
John 9:13-34
13 They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind. 14 Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man’s eyes was a Sabbath. 15 Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. “He put mud on my eyes,” the man replied, “and I washed, and now I see.”
16 Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.”
But others asked, “How can a sinner perform such signs?” So they were divided.
17 Then they turned again to the blind man, “What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened.”
The man replied, “He is a prophet.”
18 They still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man’s parents.19 “Is this your son?” they asked. “Is this the one you say was born blind? How is it that now he can see?”
20 “We know he is our son,” the parents answered, “and we know he was born blind. 21 But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. Ask him. He is of age; he will speak for himself.” 22 His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders, who already had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue. 23 That was why his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”
24 A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God by telling the truth,” they said. “We know this man is a sinner.”
25 He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”
26 Then they asked him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”
27 He answered, “I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too?”
28 Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! 29 We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”
30 The man answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. 32 Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. 33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”
34 To this they replied, “You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!” And they threw him out.
We, in our lives and our so-called busyness of life, can lose track of things...We can forget things...We can take much for granted, and we can literally miss things, as we get caught up in our days and our work and our thoughts...We can take a loved one for granted and miss out on that day, and we can be so busy in our thoughts that we do not think about God as often as we would like or should...We can forget to seek the important things in life, because of what is going on around us...We can miss out on the treasures of life, if are not alert and aware of things...Not so much with God...God is Almighty...And God wants us to seek Him...If He did not want us to find Him, He could always stay hidden...He is that Almighty...But He wants us to find Him...So I do not think LOVE wants to remain hidden...LOVE wants to be...LOVE wants to exist in us, and around us...And although God's LOVE is different than our love -love, as we know it on earth, wants to feel and express itself...
Our LORD works at Godspeed...Often I think we overlook the LORD, because of this...Sometimes we fail to trust Him, or we are to busy with our own lives to trust Him, and many times impatience steps into our lives, and we fail to wait on Him and His Word and His message....We go out and do our thing and do what we want to do and have forgotten about God...And man's love is that way...We often take the ones we love for granted, and forget at times that we love the ones we love...But not our Father, who is LOVE...He always remember to be with us, and to LOVE us, as we go about our day...It is often this mistrust and impatience (and other things like worry, being busy) that gets us in trouble and in our way of following Him...
God and His LOVE is different from our love...God LOVES us for who we are...His LOVE is completely unfettered...Nothing is attached to His LOVE...He LOVES us beyond our not always trusting Him, and our impatience...LOVE, and when we are in love, does not require us to do something to be loved...Romeo did not require Juliet to do a set of tasks for him to love her...Romeo loved Juliet for who she was...And God who is Pure LOVE and Pure Light LOVES us for who we are...God is LOVE...The Holy Spirit is in us, and God will reveal somethings about Himself...But we have to seek Him with our hearts...LOVE is that way, non-controlling...
We can take the time to think things through and still miss the important things in life...We can also miss the sacred and holy moments in our lives, because we are not open minded...The Pharisees had heard about and probably seen Jesus do miracles, and one or two may have seen Him heal the blind man's eyes...But even after realizing the blind man was blind at birth, and investigating the whole situation, they could not believe Jesus had healed him...The most sacred and holy One to ever walk on earth was in their very midst, and they could not see that or see Him...They were the ones, who were blind...The Pharisees had missed the most important One to ever walk the earth, and He was around them much of the time...LOVE, forgiveness, mercy, grace, and Truth were missed by the Pharisees when they talked and interacted with Jesus...They missed this beauty of His LOVE...
