BIRDS!

Gold Canyon is home to a wide variety of bird species. To say we have seen all of them or know exactly which birds visit while migrating would be silly. But we have tried over the years  to record all of the birds we have observed! Are YOU a bird lover? Do you watch? Plan a visit to our Museum and see Turkey Vultures soaring above, a cardinal stop by or even a roadrunner?!

 Observation of your local birds can tell you a lot about the health of your eco system. Keeping track and learning to identify birds near your home is a fun way to connect with the natural world.

Make a list starting with the common birds you see and watch your list grow as you start to notice any newcomers.
