Unit 5 contains two projects: I explored both Emerging technologies and Global technology issues.
For my Emerging Technology Project, I researched quantum computing and learned how it has the potential to transform areas such as cybersecurity, medicine, scientific research, and artificial intelligence. I also developed my presentation and communication skills by creating a narrated PowerPoint presentation and sharing it through my ePortfolio.
For the Global Technology Project, my partner, Harita Patel, and I compared technology use in Kenya and South Korea. I researched Kenya while Harita researched South Korea, and together we examined internet access, technology use, and the digital divide in each country. This project helped me understand how technology affects people around the world and reinforced the importance of collaboration, research, and digital communication.
Overall, Unit 5 strengthened my ability to research information, evaluate reliable sources, and convey my findings using professional digital tools.
