School Administration, Station 2 Police Enforcement Team, Barangay Officials and PTA officials are in discussion of the alleged gun threat.

Mactan National High School recently welcomed 19 students from Shu Teh University, Taiwan, for an enriching cultural exchange program designed to strengthen English communication skills while introducing participants to the richness of Philippine culture.

The interactive learning session was facilitated by Dr. Vonn Clyde Nuñez, a former English teacher and the school principal of Mactan SHS, who guided the students through engaging lessons that highlighted Cebu's well-known tourist destinations, the proper use of Philippine currency, common Cebuano phrases, and essential Philippine cultural vocabulary. The participants also experienced practical English conversations through simulated real-life situations, including ordering food at Jollibee and participating in student-to-student conversations.

To further immerse the visitors in Filipino culture, the students were warmly welcomed with traditional Filipino hospitality and were treated to a selection of local snack foods, allowing them to experience the country's flavors alongside its language and customs.

The activity was held at the newly renovated Kasadya Event Center, which provided a comfortable and vibrant venue for learning, cultural appreciation, and meaningful interaction between Filipino and Taiwanese students.

The cultural exchange reflects Mactan National High School's continuing commitment to promoting global understanding, cross-cultural collaboration, and authentic learning experiences that prepare students to become globally competent citizens.
