Practice Setting
At the heart of family medicine is the appreciation of the patient in the contextof theirfamily and community. Residents primarily train at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Illinois and they spend some time at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, a larger community hospital with additional resources in subspecialty care, in Winfield, Illinois, approximately 20 min away. Based in an academic affiliated-community hospital, our residents take advantage of the many learning experiences, including rural settings, all within close proximity to each other.
Family Medicine Practice at Delnor
Our clinic is located on the Delnor campus, adjacent to the main hospital. Opened in June 2018 , we provide patient-centered, team-based care and believe in promoting health by building relationships based on mutual trust and shared goals. We have designated four clinic teams (Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall) to provide a more personal feel within the larger context of the residency practice.
Our faculty have varying clinical interests, including women’s health, low risk obstetrics, osteopathic manipulation, gender affirming care, mental health and palliative care.
