Kayla Riepen is a music educator and horn player currently residing in Southern Delaware. Born and raised in central Delaware. Kayla proudly attended the University of Delaware earning her Bachelors Degree in Music Education in 2008. Upon graduating, Kayla spent ten years teaching High School band before becoming an elementary music teacher. Kayla enjoys sharing her passion for music with her students and strives to foster an environment where all children grow to be life-long music lovers.
Kayla has performed as a freelance horn player in various ensembles through the years. She particularly loves performing as part of a brass quintet. She also loves learning new instruments and is currently learning to play the ukulele with her fifth grade students.
Kayla's greatest blessings are her husband Clayton and children Emily and Henry. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys crocheting, making music with her family, playing board games, spending time outside and playing with her two dogs, Marley and Coltrane. Kayla currently plays in the horn section and serves as the Secretary on the Executive Board of The Delaware Winds.
