In my current role as the Director of the Primary Care Innovation Lab, I sponsor and co-develop quality improvement projects submitted by the frontline workforce. From 2019 to 2021 I served as the Women's Health Medical Director at VA Puget Sound Health Care System and was responsible for oversight of the operations of primary care clinics serving women Veterans, the quality of care delivered, and served as the subject matter expert on Women Veteran's care through out the facility. In this role I led a number of operation and quality improvement initiatives, most notably on revamping our facilities mammography processes. As a resident I participated in the UW Internal Medicine Residency's annual QI curriculum through which I learned the basics of conducting QI work. During my chief residency in 2017-2018, I was a member of the UW Housestaff Quality and Safety Committee and I obtained a Certificate in Quality and Safety from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Open School.
