Awards
The Faculty of Decorative Arts encourages both faculty members and students to submit their creative works to competitions at institutional, national, and international levels. This not only enhances the reputation of its members but also strengthens their learning experience and helps develop professional-level skills and expertise. The Faculty provides financial support for participation in competitions and, for those who achieve first-place awards, offers additional scholarships as recognition of their success.
Associate Professor Dr. Ekpong Treetrong of the Department of Interior Design received “The International Property Award 2026,” organized by the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2026–2027, on May 6, 2026, at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel.

Ms. Siriwan Wattanajindawong and Mr. Watcharawit Janyakul, alumni of the Department of Product Design, received the First Runner-up Prize and the Popular Vote Award in the ASEAN Furniture Design Award 2025: ESG Renewal Material “Seat for the Future.”
The competition challenged participants to design sustainable seating furniture using environmentally friendly materials, emphasizing creative functionality as well as practical production and real-world usability.

Ms. Thanatchaporn Worathongchai received the Degree Shows 2024 Award in the Fashion Design category, as well as the Best of the Shows Award, for her project Trophy (House) Wife — a fashion design project inspired by material experimentation and positively satirical social commentary, distinguished by its bold use of color.
