The mascot of the Faculty of Decorative Arts, affectionately known as “Nong Okbab,” was designed by Chakrit Thammasiri, an alumnus of the Faculty. The design is based on fundamental geometric forms—circle, square, triangle, and cylinder—representing a strong foundation in design principles.

The Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University, established in 1956 (B.E. 2499), is one of Thailand’s leading institutions in art and design education.
