The living party members Caleb and Hector are captured by cultists and find themselves in a prison with a dragonborn named Kaalidas and the mysterious elf. Kaalidas shares he had been there longer too long and would like to join the group while the elf tells the party he wants to stop the cult's ritual with Hector's necklace and blood he brought. The group escapes their confines and explores the ruins the cult has set a base in. The party interrupts a ritual with Hector pouring blood the mysterious elf supplied on a book that shrinks and screams, then he used his heirloom necklace to insert in a fixed podium of the room as a key. On turning his necklace the sickly air is cleansed. Kaalidas finds an infernal scroll to summon whatever being hears the call in the hidden chambers of the leader. They then escape with the arrival of the elf's dragon which has grown large for the time that has passed, who Kaalidas offers the head of the cult leader to in friendship. The dragon destroys it. The party is dropped at the healthy forest and parts peacefully from the mysterious elf and his dragon.
