The purpose of this project was to design an icon following a black-and-white colour scheme, using positive and negative space. The icon was to depict a human emotion or expression through an animal.

The first step in this project was researching and understanding how emotions were portrayed through animals.
The second step was to pick an animal of our choosing. I chose dolphins since they symbolize my inner child and childhood. With this information, dolphin anatomy was studied as well as various emotions and how they could be portrayed.

The third step of this project was to create several thumbnails that showcased various emotions through dolphins. This helped decide the overall form that would be used for the final design.
