Volunteers at previous years' ICFF programs

This is the seventh year we’ve been invited to run the India stall of the International Children’s Friendship Festival (ICFF) at Fisher Pavilion, Seattle Center!
At our stall, volunteers will get to showcase their Madhubani artworks, represent our art school, and engage visitors in activities. Every artist under 16 is eligible for this opportunity.
It is happening over April 18th and 19th, from 10:30AM-6:30 PM. Though the event is day-long over both days, volunteers will be able to sign up for 2.5-hour slots per day, and get chances to visit other countries' stalls as well!
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to showcase our culture and art form and learn about others' too. Be sure to join the WhatsApp group for more details!

If you are a high school student, get ready for this year’s annual Congressional Art Competition, a national contest sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives!
The artwork selected as the winner from each district will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. Additionally, the winner will receive an invitation to a reception in Washington, D.C., where they can meet other winning artists from across the country. The deadline is April 17 at 4 PM, so make sure to submit your piece!

One of our artists, Isha, has been organizing a vibrant school event with her school’s Indian Student Association to celebrate Holi, the festival of colors. This year, their Holi celebration is uniquely inspired by Madhubani.
At this event, attendees will be able to go to Madhubani stalls to learn about the stories and culture behind this art form and even create their own beautiful art pieces. This celebration will feature many local businesses and sponsors to help raise money for their school and the Indian Student Association. To support this amazing event, come to Glacier Peak High School on April 17th from 5-7 pm.
