A little background on this specimen. My wife is the librarian at Park City Elementary School, and she has a student who is a budding paleontologist. Recently, at the book fair, he was upset that his parents would not allow him to buy a book that included a replica coprolite. After clearing it with his parents, my wife asked me if I could find one that wouldn’t be too expensive. We found this one within the price range. Excited does not begin to describe his reaction.
I treasure my wife partly because she now holds the librarian position once held by one of the greatest influences in my life. Ms. Cutliff gave me so many books on science. Her and her husband, Lewis Cutliff, provided me so much encouragement and they are one of the reason I am a scientist today. I’m incredibly proud that my wife is continuing that tradition.
