Following the cataclysmic event that destroyed the world in a flood of blood, an event known as the Vulnerate, mankind suffered under the yoke of entities from the immaterial reality that had spilled over with the Vulnerate. Yet over the millennia the Noosphere that was ruptured and bled began to heal, weakening the entities whose physical existence was aberrant to the material world. This would allow mankind to slowly gain its independence from the tyranny of the aberrant. 

As time has gone on, the Noosphere continues to heal more and with it fades the magic of the world, replaced by the strict laws of mankind, who imposes the material upon the immaterial, through science and machinery. Yet there are those who seek to end this progress of history and bring about their own apotheosis through a second Vulnerate event. Will the world be led by the globalizing force of the Americans, who seek to return the world to a state that hasn't existed in ten thousand years. Will it be consumed by the Utopian Dream, that seeks to end the scourge of individualism and bring about a digital paradise. Or will the aspirations of mad men, champions of ancient deities, bring about a new age of blood and magic.

The North Atlantic Defensive Coalition 

Formed in 1913 following the Ioseb Incident that introduced the horrors of the Kiber-Tvar to the world. It would be tested immediately by the First Kiber-Tvar War in 1914 and 1915. The Coalition would succeed in pushing the Kiber-Tvar back from the Urals and establish a series of defensive lines to hold them back. The founding members of the Coalition are as follows, the United States of the Americas, the Rhinelans Reich, the Empire of Britannia, the Kingdom of Switzerlans, the Kingdom of Italia, the Oster-Magyar Empire, and the Ruthenian Republic of Kamchatka. Other nations would eventually join the Coalition as the years and the gravity of the external Kiber-Tvar threat became evermore clear. More worryingly would be the rise of the internal threat of the spread of Utopianism, the Kiber-Tvar's insidious invisible hand on the world stage.

The Utopianism Cause

Following the setbacks faced during the first real incursion past the Ural mountains, the Central Master Mind Intelligence of the Kiber-Tvar recalibrated the approach vectors to the challenge presented by the NADC. Sheer force would not be sufficient against an enemy willing and unreasonable enough to terminate itself in an act of final spite against the Utopian Dream. Violence would still be needed, naturally, but a new approach was also designed to soften the more stubborn elements of mankind. The spread of Utopianism, an idea, and a promise that could be delivered on. With the rising unrest throughout the world, it would not be hard to find sympathetic elements, willing to be aided by the Utopian Dream. The civil war in the Yangtze nation was the perfect initial test, the Utopian Dream saved the Yangtze People's Progress Army from obliteration from its rivals. Now the YPPA is a willing ally to the cause, a willing spreader of the idea. They had given the Master Mind a template to use across the world.

Atlantropa the Floating City 

Home to nearly one billion people, Atlantropa was once the shining beacon within the north Atlantic ocean, a city that was considered to be the mythical Atlantis. It was for millennia the most advanced and prosperous nation in the world. Yet in this golden age stagnation festered, Atlantropa would watch comfortably as the world around it caught up to its level, and with the return of the Americans it would see the end of its hegemony. Ravaged by a series of internal conflicts collectively known as the Penumbra Wars in the 19th century, the once great Floating City now finds its rallying on the Americans more and more. It is globally becoming increasingly irrelevant, drifting closer to becoming an American state with each passing decade. 

Alpha and Beta Particles 

All humans produce low level emissions of Alpha Particles, it is commonly understood as brain activity, this is understood to be the origin point of Cognition. All Aberrations and Abnormalities present in the world are based on a concentration of these Alpha Particles, a saturation of Alpha Particles in a person can allow them to use Cognition Abilities. These can also be referred to as Magic, studies have shown that it is correlated to the heightened activity of the Mirror Neurons. Individuals with high levels of Alpha Particles are known to have their skeleton be various shades of red. 

Beta Particles are a refined form of Cognition, produced by extracting the trace element within Alpha Particles, it is possible to produce Beta Particles. It can be used to produce clean near limitless energy, however the residual waste left from this is not known to deteriorate and it is still not widely understood what the environmental impact of it will be. Where Alpha Particle energy presents in red, Beta Particles energy presents in blue.

Construct Intelligence 

Created during the Vulnerate times, the system at its core is a simulacrum of a brain built on repeating and overlapping copies, which add volume to it. It does not require a physical brain to use, but at the base root of all Constructs a brain was used to give the template for all future derivatives. 

Construct Intelligences are made by following a hardline capacity of information that can be processed and used by the model. Simpler Constructs require less capacity and are at a minimum risk of suffering from destructive conditions that can plague more complex models. The Eisenwolves run on a Simple System, where Kat-Bots have a Complex System, which is tuned to ensure stability over unchecked informational growth. 

The Iron Kingdom, the main producers of this technology, insist that their creations should not be treated as tools, but more akin to companions or even with the decency of pets.
