The RCUD is located in the municipality of Dangcaga, at the southern part of Bukidnon. It occupies 71 hectares of research and production areas, foundation grove, orchard, rubber clonal garden, forage and pasture areas, office compound, among others. Focusing its research and development programs on plantation crops, cereals and small ruminants, the RCUD is mandated for the production and multiplication of foundation and registered rice seeds, and the production of seeds of OPV or open-pollinated varieties of corn. Technologies are also developed and promoted on mushroom, palayamanan or rice-based integrated farming system. A seedling nursery and a 1.5 hectare foundation grove is established where different fruit trees are planted and maintained. Supportive of the rubber industry development, the RCUD maintains 3 hectares rubber clonal budwood garden which maintains 10 recommended rubber clones. Thru the Center’s nucleus and multiplier farm for small ruminants, the RCUD is mandated to improve the genetic quality of breeding stocks of meat and dairy type of goat and sheep.
