Develop and promote needs-responsive, market-driven, productivity-profitability-oriented, sustainable and environmentally-viable technologies towards food security, resilience and sustainability. Interventions shall be pursued in a participatory collaborative process among stakeholders.

What We Do

A. Research for agricultural technologies development

• • Crop improvement, horticulture and agronomy, plant protection, postharvest handling, product development and value-adding technologies

  • Animal health and nutrition, forage and pasture development, breeding programs for superior cattle stocks

  • Sustainable and integrated farming systems

B. Production and distribution of quality seeds, planting materials, and superior animal stocks

• • Seeds and planting materials (white potato G0 seeds and minitubers, sweet potato cuttings and cassava stakes, adlay, sweet sorghum, legumes, high-value and indigenous vegetables, upland rice and OPV corn)

  • Livestock support inputs (semen collection and processing for small ruminants (goats and sheep), production and distribution of improved forage and pasture grasses and legumes
