Thinker:
We were thinkers when we made our central idea, lines of inquiry, and reflection and when we made our designs and outline of the whole topic. We were also thinkers because we thought of everything we want or will do during the process of this project. We thought about our Actions and we also thought about what we did in order to write our reflection. We made the project that we presented to grade 4 Global Jaya school students. We used our thinking skills to improve our blog and Action plans.
Inquirer:
We were Inquirers when we asked relevant questions about our topic. We asked a lot of people including our mentors, parents, and interviewees. We also asked Mr. Freitz questions about the PYP exhibition. We wrote questions on Google/Safari and got answers for our research. We ended up getting 264 respondents for our survey and used those answers as our source of research.
Communicators:
We displayed being a communicator when we discussed things with our group. We also displayed it when we interviewed Ms. Karin and Ms. Valent. We presented to Grade 3 and Grade 4 Binusians, and Grade 4 in Global Jaya. We went class to class to inform students about our conference call that was held on May 2. Lastly we presented to our audience during the conference call and interacted with all of them.
Reflective:
We showed the Learner Profile of being Reflective when we wrote our weekly reflection and when we made progress throughout the week. We had to remember what we did each week in order to reflect. Once the week was over we had to write one paragraph for each week and in total have 15 reflections. Every time we presented our action we take note of the feedback given.
Balanced:
We managed and balanced our time wisely - playing time and working time. When doing the blog, we divided it and took turns so each of us gets an equal amount of time to do each page. Whenever we are flustered, we help each other. We not only complete our work in school but also at home. We also made it sure that we are balanced with our personal life.
Knowledgeable:
We knew what we were going to do and we had the information needed to add to our blog. We were knowledgeable of what we needed to do in order to do it correctly. After all the researches that we did, we gained lots of knowledge regarding cyberbullying. We took down notes and bullet points whenever we do or present something. Now we are able to share our thoughts more confidently.
Open-Minded:
We listened to each others' ideas, plans, and designs in the blog/website. In doing so, we get more ideas for our PYP exhibition. We considered other's ideas and we discussed all plans before executing them. We learned from the past blogs/websites of grade 5 students, trying to get inspiration for their projects. We also listened to the thoughts of our parent mentors and teacher mentors. Now we are one of the best groups in our class.
Risk-Taker:
We were risk-takers by being confident to present in other grade levels. We were also confident to talk to teachers and ask interview questions for research. Lastly, we were risk-takers by being brave enough to make this work happen. We gave a chance to each of our group members to display their risk-taker skills by giving out a knowledgeable answer for each and every question people ask.
