There were five ATL skills that we developed namely: Thinking skills, communication skills, research skills, social skills, and self-management skills. We developed these ATL skills all the time throughout this project. This page will show how we developed these five ATL skills.
Thinking skills:
We displayed our thinking skills by coming up with good ideas as a group. We think before we do any task as the process of the PYP exhibition goes on. We also displayed our thinking skills when we think about what we needed to improve. As we go on, some stress may occur so some thinking may help calm down and organize our group's tasks. We help each other whenever one of us needs help as well.
Communication skills:
We displayed our communication skills by communicating with each other to complete the exhibition preparation. Communication is a key hint to being successful. We, as a group sometimes get confused and we use communication skills to ask our mentors for help if needed. Communication skills are vital for this project, since one of us might need help or has nothing to do. By using our communication skills, we improve and develop our communication too.
Research skills:
We displayed our research skills to investigate our topic more deeply. We searched for answers to the questions to add to the blog. Researching is a very important part of our PYP exhibition so we need to find out more information about cyberbullying. We used the information found to paraphrase and add to the blog. We also always remember to cite the website.
Social skills:
We developed our social skills by working offline with each other daily. Being socialized and confident add serve as key hints for this PYP exhibition because this project contains a lot of interviewing and presenting to crowds. When we presented to Global Jaya, we also showed our social skills. Being social is something very important in our lives. By using our social skills, we developed and improved our socialization.
Self-management skills:
We displayed our self-management skills by completing our tasks on time. We are also organized and made a planner/checklist to keep track of our work. Our team also divided the tasks in order for us to all work together and finish them faster. We worked outside of school hours to get the task done faster. By using our self-management skills, we improved and developed our self-management.
