Genesis Social Welfare Foundation primarily serves three major groups. The first group is individuals in a vegetative state(植物人). Through care centers across Taiwan, the foundation provides 24-hour professional care, medical assistance, and daily living support to ensure their basic quality of life and dignity. The second group consists of people experiencing extreme poverty (寒士). The foundation offers emergency assistance, daily necessities, care services, and seasonal support programs to help them cope with hardship and regain stability in their lives. The third group includes elderly people, especially those who are disabled or socially disadvantaged(失智、失能老人). The foundation provides residential care, home-based services, and emotional support to help older adults maintain their physical and mental well-being.
Genesis Social Welfare Foundation is a nonprofit organization in Taiwan dedicated to caring for individuals in a persistent vegetative state and others requiring long-term care. It operates approximately 17 care homes for low-income patients in a persistent vegetative state, as well as 3 branch offices across northern, central, southern, and eastern Taiwan. In addition to residential care, the foundation also provides home-care services. Its headquarters is located in Taipei, serving individuals and families throughout the country.
The Genesis Social Welfare Foundation is run by a Board of Directors. An Executive Director is in charge of daily work. The foundation has several departments, including administration, medical care, social services, fundraising, and volunteers. It provides care through care centers and home-care teams across Taiwan.
