The donation drive for adult diapers and nursing pads ran from December 12 to December 24. The collection area was set up in the school plaza in front of the school store, right by the Christmas tree.
On the first day of the donation drive, right after school, we saw that there were no donations in the collection area. This made us really worried, and we thought, “Could it be that no one will donate at all?”
On that day, some donations finally appeared, which made us feel a little relieved. However, at this pace, we worried that we wouldn’t be able to collect enough diapers. So we decided to promote the drive again during the lunchtime broadcast.
During the break, we actively promoted the drive using a loudspeaker, and the results were remarkable. Many teachers began bringing their students to donate, and the number of diapers and nursing pads increased rapidly.
After everyone finished counting the diapers, we gathered for a group photo, smiling from ear to ear. The joy of completing this fundraising event was shared by all. No one expected anything in return, which made every effort feel even more meaningful.
By the end, we had collected an astonishing “mountain” of diapers—a true testament to everyone’s generosity and hard work!
