3 MONTHS RULE
This is based on the date of the latest charge on the transaction history, then backtrack 3 months, consider these charges:
April 25, 2025 - $9.99
February 25, 2025 - $9.99
February 12, 2025 - $9.99
January 25, 2025 - $14.99
Question 1: do you still need to probe the charge on January 25, 2025?
Answer: no need, since the latest charge was on April and the months before April is March and February, completing the 3 months
Question 2: do you still need to probe the charge on February 12, 2025 if it's the same charge?
Answer: yes, you need to, 'cause why are there 2 payments made on February?
1 YEAR RULE
This is based on today's month then backtrack 1 year for $50.00 and above charges, consider these charges if today's month is April 2025:
April 25, 2025 - $9.99
February 25, 2025 - $9.99
January 25, 2025 - $49.99
April 04, 2024 - $57.00
March 25, 2024 - $89.99
Question 1: do you still need to probe the charge on January 25, 2025?
Answer: no need, since the latest charge was on April and the months before April is March and February, completing the 3 months → $49.99 is below $50.00 and therefore do not count for the 1 Year Rule
Question 2: do you still need to probe the charge on April 04, 2024?
Answer: yes of course, the 1 Year Rule is based on today's month NOT today's date → April 2025 then backtrack to April 2024 and NOT April 25, 2025 then backtrack to April 25, 2024
Question 3: do you still need to probe the charge on March 25, 2024?
Answer: you guessed it, no need, since it's beyond the 1 Year Rule → if today's month is April 2025 then backtrack to April 2024
LOGGING REFUND CODE
