Remember that camp is for the campers and that camper needs take priority over staff needs
Serve as a positive role model to all members of the camp community (staff, campers, and parents) by abiding by all camp policies, procedures, and rules
Practice respect, appreciation, and acceptance for all people ensuring all campers and staff feel welcome and part of the group
Be prompt and encourage promptness among campers and staff
Get silly and make camp fun for the campers
Show camp spirit during programs, at campfires, and any time the activity calls for excitement and exuberance
Set a good example with their own personal habits, your dress, your language around campers, and your daily lifestyle
Radiate a positive mental attitude around campers even when they disagree with decisions. Save controversy for staff-only settings
Go the extra mile by offering to do that which is not necessarily a part of their job and help out with additional responsibilities when asked to
Take care of themselves by staying healthy, knowing their limits, and maintaining a positive attitude
Take on other duties as assigned
