An important part of the CU's register of research represents data on grants, projects, and other sources of funding. It encompasses the following operations:
a) competitive research grants funded from national public resources;
b) internal projects of the University funded from the so called "specific university research" which promotes research conducted by students of the University;
c) internal research projects, programmes, and other internal instruments of the University funded from the institutional support obtained from the Czech Ministry of Youth, Education, and Sports;
d) external foreign and international grants, including those promoting international cooperation and funded from national public resources;
e) projects supporting reseach funded from European Structural and Investment Funds;
f) projects of contractual and collaborative research;
g) other grants and projects to support science, research, and other creative activities;
h) "de minimis" aid;
i) participation in research infrastructures and other similar research activities; and
j) licence agreements (both acquired and provided) to industry.
As a part of academic evaluation parameters the Research Evaluation Board shall set out the list of operational areas relevant for the Evaluation, i.e. to be included in respective research indicators.
