Simple Harmonic Motion
Using these models students can investigate changes in motion (displacement, velocity, and acceleration) of a simple pendulum. They can vary the mass and the length of the pendulum to study the effects of those changes. Students can also learn about the changes in the positive and negative signs (based on a convention) of the vector quantities, as a simple pendulum moves.
