Regarding the MOE's latest decision to run a pilot on the Mental Health Leave Policy at certain high schools starting this March and to possibly implement the policy in August, (https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/5097073), the Resolution Research Committee has the following responses:

1. Although the MOE decided to run a pilot on the Mental Health Leave Policy in select high schools starting this March, and can potentially implement the policy in August, the policy is not currently in effect nationwide. That makes the resolution still applicable for our 2024 tournament, which takes place from April to June, meaning that the Affirmative can still argue for the policy, and the Negative, against it.

2. Since it’s a “pilot” program, it will not favor the affirmative or the negative. It’s actually perfect timing to debate this topic.
