Invasive Crabs at Lydia's Beach
Students had the opportunity to take a walking field trip to Lydia's Beach (Stoney Beach) to collect specimen for our tank and Asian Shore Crabs. While at the beach, students were asked to think about the factors that allow the Asian Shore Crabs to take over the area and the impact they have on the environment and native wildlife.
