Emerging tech project

Overview

I was required to research an emerging technology and complete and present PowerPoint presentation on the topic.

Topic

I researched Artificial intelligence as used in soccer. I am very engaged in the sport and have been playing for two years so I was curious as to how it has been impacted by the rise in AI. The specific branch I went down was Football Ai by Lenovo. The tech company partnered with fiffa to create a 3D player analytics system used to aid coaches and player in match replays and skill work as well as speed up the rate of officiating in matches. Working as digital referees to track player position and make offside and goal line calls.

Interesting fact learned:     

During research solutions for negative environmental AI date centers bring, I discovered that it is possible to move thermal heat from the data centers and convert it into commercial heating of homes.

Reflection

I really enjoyed researching and creating this presentation. Being able to Research a form of tech I was interested in was viable for my enjoyment. Through this project I learned a lot about the harmful effects of AI. I was already aware of the water usages but not the full harm of it or the ways to combat it. I feel like I could confidently explain how It impacts the planet. I also learned how to use the animation feature of PowerPoint.
