Digital Media Exploration

Introduction

For this project, I was asked to collect samples of different types of media from creativecommons and credit the website accordingly.

This is an example of an imbedded JPG.

The image comes from an art instalation in Dublin Ireland. It shows a rainbow made of reclyed material (shopping bags).

I embedded the photo from the creative commons webstite. "Dublin Contemporary 2011 is a contemporary art exhibition taking place in Dublin" by infomatique is licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0.

This is an example of an embedded video.

This video talks about pushing for us to find ways to stimulate the desire to learn and allowing it to outweigh a dependency on social media.

I embedded this from YouTube, which offered embed code, but there was no usage policy or licensing information.

This is an example of an animated gif. I created this through brush ninja and them saved it as a gif. I then uploaded it to my website.

Reflection

I learn a lot during this project! The ability to make my own gifs was something I had never thought of before but I throughly enjoyed learning the steps. It was a struggle to learn how to make my own copyright but I am greatfully to know now if I ever need to. Overall it was a very information assignment.
