Unit 0

Overview

Unit 0 is truly an introduction to the course materials, overall course objectives, and course procedures.   

Major topics

 Introduction to information systems and orientation

• The major focus on unit zero was familiarizing students with course work expectations and material. It included learning how to properly cite sources as well evaluating them for accuracy and determining which sources are viable. We did this while researching and defining the different working parts of computer. There was a focus on hardware, software, fundamental networks as well as internet concepts.

 Mindset for Success 

• The first few assignments of the unit were based around learning and displaying note taking skills.  We completed a notebook setup and established expectations of the course.
