WWW and the Internet are not the same! The internet can exist with the WWW, but WWW cannot exist without the Internet.
URLs tell your browser where the website is located, it identifies the specific page or file and allows you to access information online. Without URLs, we wouldn’t be able to easily find websites.
For example, myccbc.ccbcmd.edu/CCBC/NextSteps
myccbc is the Subdomain. Which usually points to a specific section of the main website.
ccbcmd identifies the school (Community College of Baltimore County).
.edu tells us it’s an educational institution.
/CCBC/ is a section within the website.
/NextSteps is the specific page inside that section.
