Plagiarism is using someone else's work without giving them credit.
Copyright laws protect creator's work so others cannot use it without permission.
Creative Commons allows people to legally use other people's work.
Learned the five types of digital media: images, audio, video, text and animation (GIF).
Here I completed the “Am I Addicted to Social Media?” quiz as part of the Social Media Impact assignment. The results of my quiz are shown below.
"You're fairly reliant on social media, but there are far worse culprits! Still, it's good to be reminded that UK adults spend an average of 8 hrs 41 mins on screens every day, and 4 hours of that on smartphone apps alone (mainly social media). That's about a third of each day checking apps. Do you need to rethink your social media habits and the amount of time you spend scrolling?"
Lesson Learned
This unit helped me understand how to use the internet responsibly and respect other people work by giving them credit. It also made me aware of rules like copyright law that I need to follow.
