For this project, I had to collect samples of different media types from Creative Commons and credit them accordingly.

This is an original image I created myself. The image is of one of my favorite places during my favortie season, New york in the Summer. I took this photo and added a fun text over it to represent digital media. I actaully used socail media to create this! I uploaded the image to my ePortfolio and resized it to fit the page. I am sharing this original work under a Creative Commons license.
To the left is an audio/video file I selected because it matched the vibe of the summer day image I uploaded of New York. The song has a relaxed and soulful tone that reminds me of warm weather and spending time outside in the city. I chose this audio because it helps create a mood that connects with the visual media on the page.
I found this media on YouTube and embedded it directly into my ePortfolio page so it could be played from the site. Embedding the video allows viewers to experience both audio and visual digital media together. Using audio alongside images helps enhance the overall feeling and message of the content.
This media is shared through YouTube and remains under its original license. I provided credit to the creator and included the source information below.
“Jean Carn – My Love Don’t Come Easy” by Rare Samples & Songs Oleg Tsoy.

This is an example of an animated GIF I found on GIPHY. I selected this animation because it represents New York City and matches the summer day image I uploaded. An animated GIF is an image file that contains multiple frames shown in sequence to simulate motion. This animation helps demonstrate how GIFs are used as a form of digital media.
This GIF was embedded from the original source and then uploaded to my website. I included credit to the creator and followed the TASL rule of thumb, which stands for Title, Author, Source, and License.

I learned how to ethically use and share different types of digital media. I also learned the importance of giving proper credit and including licensing information when using images, audio, GIFs, and videos. This assignment helped me understand how Creative Commons licenses work and how to apply them to original content. Overall, I now better understand how different types of media can be combined to create a more engaging webpage!
