Exploring My Digital Footprint

For this activity, I explored my digital footprint by searching for myself online and analyzing the results.

What I Did

- Searched my name using Google to see what information appears online.
- Looked through different search results to see if any personal information was connected to me.
- Used search tools to narrow down results and better understand how search engines organize information.
- Explored websites and results that appeared to see what kind of digital presence exists.
What I Found
- I did not find much personal information connected directly to my name.
- I did not see general information such as my age, relatives, or personal details.
- Most results were not connected to me personally.
- This showed me that my online presence is currently very limited.
What I Learned
- Search engines like Google have advanced search tools that allow users to narrow results.
- A person’s digital footprint can include things like:
  - social media accounts
  - photos
  - websites
- Even small pieces of information online can contribute to someone’s digital identity.

Hardware Highlights

For this assignment, I looked at the specifications of my MacBook to learn more about the hardware and software it uses.

My computer’s processor is Intel Core i5

My MacBook has 8 GB of RAM, which helps the system run multiple applications smoothly at the same time.

The hard drive on my computer has a total capacity of 256 GB, and currently about 120 GB of storage space is available

My computer is running the macOS operating system. One interesting thing I discovered is that the graphics processing is built into the Apple M1 chip, which helps improve performance and efficiency.

I was surprised to see how much information is available about the computer just by checking the system settings. It helped me better understand how my computer works.
