I created this page to present some of the information I found involving Food Bioengineering. My assignment was to create and present a Powerpoint that includes research findings on an emerging technology that interest me.

Food Bioengineering

The topic I chose to research was food bioengineering. For the last 12 years, I have been working towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle by making healthier decisions. Healthier decisions for me include what foods I select for my diet. More often than not, I have noticed an increased number of my usual products have changed ingredients and now contain GMOs. Since the topic is on media, and the discussion on whether or not GMOs are safe is increasing, I decided to use this topic to complete my assignment, and answer some questions for myself in the process. I was able to find out that the first bioengineered food was a tomato. That was exciting to know since I enjoy eating them. This assignment has broadened my view of food bioengineering, and the effects it has on todays society.

Lessons Learned

Completing this assignment has strengthened my skills in narrowing down data that is beneficial to my needs. I learned how to create my own shortcuts for certain apps necessary to complete this assignment. Another thing I learned while completing this assignment was the fact that bioengineering seeds grow our produce. With that being said, food bioengineering seems to be developing upwards, and educating yourself on the topic is important since this will directly affect us. Overall, this assignment was very informative and beneficial to me.
