I was enrolled in an English course, but at the same time I took a test that tells you what skills I have and among them English appeared as an alternative to study, so I decided to enroll in this career.

In addition to English, as a future project, I would like to prepare to be a personal trainer in order to learn and teach people the benefits of maintaining good physical condition and health.

I think that critical thinking should be part of the life of every individual, personally I use critical thinking while analyzing all kinds of information I receive, whether written or heard; for example, during the Covid-19 pandemic a series of false news about the vaccines that were used were spread, some in favor and others against; another example, the news that is published in the media; but, mainly, those that appear daily on social networks.

Translation Criticism

The aim of translation criticism is to improve the quality of a translated text by judging its qualities, defects and value. Translation is an activity that is becoming increasingly important in a globalized world, where communication between cultures is a daily occurrence. The main goal of translation is to convey the original meaning of a text accurately, while respecting the values ​​and cultural understanding of the target audience.

CONCLUSION

In this area of ​​translation criticism, I had the opportunity to learn about the different CAT tools that can be of great help in translations from any language, in English or Spanish; I also learn about different translation methods used in translation.

This course helped me realize that even though CATtools can be used in the translation, it will always be important the human translation because sometimes the CATtools make mistakes. 

The projetc that I liked the most was the one about the Ted Talk and the transcription and the the other one was about Antony and Cleoplatra.

In my opinion, all the projects developed were more than interesting, and I was drawn to the translation from a foreign language into English and Spanish.
