Science is much more than a Content.

It is an EXPERIENCE!!!!

When we think about science, we should want to excite our students with wonder and questioning.  They should desire to know more!

Kindergarten students enter school excited to know everything.  Their questions and observations are endless.  The excitement and interest shown in the faces in these photos represent pure love of science.

In many cases, by 5th grade most students have lost their sense of wonder at school.  They stop asking questions.  Their conversation changes to “I hate science.”

We must examine the science programs in our schools to find out where the shift happens.  How has the teaching of science changed?  What needs to change to encourage more students to continue their love and pursuit of science?
