AI Art for Inspiration, Creativity, and Learning

This interactive session will explore the educational potential of AI Art generators. It will share applications, creative ways to use AI art in learning, and hints/practical implementation strategies. Participants will engage in hands-on activities (using Adobe Firefly, Canva Text-to- Image, Bing Image Generator, or similar AI Art Generators.) Come and learn how AI-generated art can save time and unlock new creativity in your classroom.
I also will be sharing on "Creating Meaningful Vocabulary in the Content Areas" with Apple Distinguished Educators in the Grand Gallery A at 10 am on Friday and helping with other sessions. Here is more info on MACUL sessions with Apple.

This session will share easy strategies to begin creating sketchnotes. Participants will learn about the basic components of a sketchnote and tools/apps needed/helpful to begin creating digital sketchnotes on iPads/tablets. They will discover resources, lessons, video tutorials, and student examples as they create their own sketchnote.

You don’t need to be a professional to take advantage of the amazing creative features of the Procreate app on your iPad. This hands-on session will introduce you to key Procreate features including brushes, layers, text, and more. We’ll explore ways this app can enhance learning through illustrations, sketchnotes, and more. To participate in this session, you’ll need an iPad with the Procreate app downloaded. An Apple Pencil or stylus is suggested but not necessary.

Instagram and social media are exploding with inspirational quotes created digitally with hand lettering. Expand your iPad's creative toolbox by adding new fonts to use with your projects. Then we'll explore how to use these fonts to create "cheater" calligraphy on your iPad.

Then this session is for you!
Join in to have some fun using fonts and lettering on your iPad! I'll share some easy tips for downloading fonts onto your iPad (and onto student iPads). We'll look at sources for amazing free fonts and Procreate brushes. We'll explore apps that let you quickly create quotes with lettering variations and share how to use them with students and for your personal creativity. I'll give some hints and examples for using lettering for Cricut and other crafty projects. Finally, we'll do a simple faux calligraphy project in Procreate. So fire up your Apple Pencil, come ready to share your favorite fonts and lettering project hints, and have some fun with your font loving friends!
