In this class you will need to share a Google Drive Folder or send your code to raspberrypimentor@gmail.com
We have initiatives to have younger students get involved with technology safely with Snap-Circuit kits, Microbit, and other programming curricula, depending on the age and skills with reading, and ability to use a mouse, keyboard, and follow instructions well, individually or as a small group or a team.
If you are not local, try to contact Tai Wong at Chats2Tai@gmail.com and text him at 209-996-3087 to set up scheduling.
Tai is seeking to mentor future servant leaders in technology to make innovations affordable to those who do not have great financial means.
The first initiative is to construct a website that will be a work-in-progress to marshal aid and cooperation for Raspberry Pi Projects.
A second initiative is to help cultivate students and teams to enter the competition for the International Space Station coding projects for Mission Zero and Mission Space Lab.
Check out the website: https://modestoacademy.com/computerclasses.html if you are interested in learning more about the European Astro Pi Challenge for young people to conduct scientific investigations in space by writing computer programs that run on the Raspberry Pi computers aboard the International Space Station.
Note: If you do not qualify for a team, do not lose heart; you can still see how the process is done and learn from it. Though the United States or your country may not be an ESA member state, you may find a team that has nationals of the participating countries that qualify, provided that your joining 50% of members are from one of the participating ESA countries.
A third initiative is to customize a solution to aid legally blind or optically challenged clients to hear text that is seen by a Raspberry Pi to aid clients affordably. We are thinking of a number of possible options regarding cost and function in this initiative. Contact Tai to gain entry to a shared folder for brainstorming this initiative and getting things happening.
Contact Tai if you are interested in the last initiative.
Set up an account and give it a go. :)
