2018 Ranchi Workshop

Improving Health and Nutrition Outcomes in West Bengal & Jharkhand

A workshop on a women-centred approach on a financial services platform

Grameen Foundation, Freedom from Hunger India Trust (FFHIT) and RESULTS Educational Fund (RESULTS) have worked in alliance with NGOs Bandhan-Konnagar and Aikyatan Development Society (ADS) to implement a 3-year project, Maa aur Shishu Swasthya (MASS), in West Bengal and Jharkhand. The MASS project promoted adolescent, maternal and child health among SHG and credit group members and, by extension, their families.

This experience-sharing workshop was organised on 29th and 30th October, 2018. The agenda was designed to share results from the MASS project and to explore their implications for health and microfinance sectors, government agencies and donor organisations operating in West Bengal and Jharkhand.
